Norconsult Telematics is seeking a Data Center Planning Expert to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the strategic development and operational efficiency of data center infrastructure. The role requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in data center planning and management.

Role Overview

The Data Center Planning Expert will be responsible for managing all passive and active planning activities within our data center operations. This includes overseeing the entire lifecycle from initial forecasting and capacity planning to deployment, facility management, and continuous process optimization. The objective is to ensure that data center infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with evolving business and technological requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee data center forecasting, capacity planning, and demand management to ensure infrastructure scalability ahead of business needs.
• Define comprehensive deployment plans, service/product scopes, and strict technical specification requirements.
• Manage data center facility reservations, space allocation, and hosting environments efficiently.
• Conduct data center strategy reviews, performance analysis, and benchmark studies to optimize facilities for Telco, IT, and AI advancements.
• Utilize advanced data analytics for infrastructure health monitoring, performance optimization, and strategic decision-making.
• Manage billing, invoicing, and rigorous project controls to ensure timely and budget-compliant initiative delivery.
• Analyze and review legal frameworks, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and vendor contracts to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement by developing robust operational processes, enhancing product/service quality, and maintaining high QA standards.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this role should possess 10+ years of relevant experience in data center planning, operations, or a related field. The position requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, capacity management, and strategic planning principles. Expertise in technical specification development, project control, and contract management is essential. The ability to apply data analytics for performance optimization and strategic insights is also key.
