About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Data Strategy & Control Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the bank's enterprise data strategy and governance controls. The role ensures alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data management standards, while driving continuous improvement in data governance capabilities across the organization.

Strategic Data Governance

• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of Riyad Bank’s Enterprise Data Strategy.
• Develop and monitor data governance controls, standards, policies, and procedures across the Bank.
• Assist in the development and execution of Data Strategy & Control policies, procedures, and controls for all data sources.
• Track the execution of strategic data initiatives and report progress against approved roadmaps and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business priorities.
• Establish governance mechanisms to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to data management.

Operational Oversight

• Perform day-to-day activities, ensuring work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor data governance maturity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support enterprise-wide data governance forums and committees by preparing reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
• Coordinate the implementation of data-related regulatory and compliance requirements.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with Data Quality, Master Data, Metadata, Data Privacy, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure consistent governance practices.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, incorporating international best practices, business process enhancements, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.

Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 5 years of professional experience in data strategy, data governance, or a closely related field.
