Role Overview

Riyad Bank is seeking a Data Engineering Team Leader to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves assuming data ownership on behalf of the business, representing the business division's voice in executive governance committees, and ensuring data stewardship aligns with the enterprise data management asset model. The Data Engineering Team Leader will lead divisional data initiatives and contribute to bank-wide data strategies, such as enterprise data as assets and information management strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of Data Stewardship policies, procedures, and controls for all data sources.
• Perform daily activities, ensuring work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.

Data Stewardship and Governance

• Manage data stewardship at the divisional level, serving as a single point of contact for the division's data needs.
• Liaise with business areas to ensure their data interests and requirements are considered.
• Represent the assigned business area for matters related to data, including data requirements and provisions.
• Represent business units in the Enterprise Data Governance Committee.
• Promote standards and a consistent view of business data across the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement and Education

• Educate Business Units on the importance of data and information in driving business outcomes.
• Supervise relationships with data consumers.
• Direct and guide subordinates on their role as Enterprise Data Stewards at all levels.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage the effective achievement of Enterprise Data Steward Unit objectives through leadership.
• Set individual objectives, recruit qualified staff, and manage performance.
• Develop and motivate staff, providing formal and informal feedback and appraisal to maximize subordinate and division performance.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience is required for this position.
