This full-time position for a Deputy ES&H Manager is based in Saudi Arabia, supporting the Ar Rjum Project, a greenfield gold project located approximately 200 km northeast of Taif, towards Riyadh, and 26 km south of Al Mouwayh.

Role Summary: Deputy ES&H Manager

The Deputy ES&H Manager for the Ar Rjum Project supports the ES&H Manager in developing and implementing environmental, safety, and health management programs, systems, and processes. This role provides technical oversight for ES&H activities at the project level, serving as a recognized expert in ES&H matters. The primary objective is to support the project in controlling risks to people, property, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the ES&H Manager in developing and maintaining an ES&H program, including plans, systems, procedures, and standards, to control ES&H risks.
• Adopt client and regulatory requirements as mandated by contract or law.
• Actively support the Site Manager in the implementation of the ES&H program.
• Monitor the implementation of the ES&H program and report on successes and areas for improvement.
• Review contractor ES&H plans, procedures, reports, training records, inspection records, and other required submittals.
• Identify and assess best practices for implementation.
• Evolve and adapt the ES&H program through various project stages.
• Develop and maintain an activity plan aligned with the project schedule and risk factors.
• Develop, supervise, and maintain a team providing in-field ES&H support across all project levels.
• Maintain a working relationship with client representatives.
• Participate in senior leadership ES&H meetings to set and monitor project ES&H strategy.
• Act as the lead investigator for serious incidents on the project.
• Promote a positive safety culture through engagement with workers, supervisors, construction management, and contractors in the field.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
