Design Manager

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Design Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the design function, ensuring creative excellence, and aligning design strategies with organizational goals. The Design Manager will oversee design operations, mentor team members, and collaborate across departments to deliver design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and implement design strategies, plans, and criteria for various projects.
• Assess the feasibility and innovation potential of proposed design concepts.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of designers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Oversee specialized design functions, including large-scale design projects, brand development, and design system implementations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with design standards, quality benchmarks, and relevant regulations.
• Serve as a technical advisor and consultant on design-related matters to stakeholders and leadership.
• Evaluate design operations, activities, and team performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare detailed reports on design initiatives, project outcomes, and operational metrics with recommendations.
• Manage design budgets and resources efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and engineering, to align design solutions with business objectives.
• Advise leadership and stakeholders on design-related strategic matters and emerging industry trends.
• Customize design approaches to meet diverse customer needs while maintaining brand consistency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in design management or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design functions and manage design teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing design strategies.
• Proficiency in overseeing large-scale design projects and brand development.
