As one of the most rapidly evolving SaaS companies in the MENA region, Foodics is seeking a Director of FP&A to join its team in Riyadh on a full-time basis.

Strategic Focus of the Position

This role is designed for a commercially minded, analytical, and technology-forward finance leader to drive the company's FP&A agenda. It is not a traditional budgeting and reporting function, but rather a strategic partnership with the CFO, CEO, and leadership team. The Director of FP&A will focus on translating performance into informed decisions, challenging assumptions, enhancing forecast quality, and building a scalable, AI-enabled FP&A function within a business operating across SaaS, fintech, and payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage annual budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, and reforecast cycles, ensuring clear full-year views and disciplined forecast accuracy.
• Lead monthly performance reviews covering revenue, ARR, gross profit, margins, EBITDA, OPEX, cash flow, headcount, and key operating metrics.
• Translate financial results into concise executive insights, identifying changes, their causes, implications, and recommended management actions.
• Develop driver-based financial models and scenario analyses (base, upside, downside) to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Act as a senior finance partner to Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, and People teams, challenging assumptions and optimizing resource allocation.
• Strengthen governance for OPEX, headcount, CAPEX, and strategic investments, establishing clear ownership and accountability across the business.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, new product launches, geographic expansions, partnerships, major commercial initiatives, and M&A opportunities through robust business cases and post-investment reviews.
• Upgrade FP&A systems, reporting, and automation to ensure the function scales with Foodics, reducing reliance on manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes.
• Utilize AI tools, specifically Claude, to accelerate performance analysis, scenario modeling, business case development, and management commentary.
• Interrogate large financial and operating datasets to identify drivers, anomalies, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Create repeatable AI workflows or agents for recurring FP&A tasks and ad-hoc executive analysis.
• Integrate AI tools like Claude with Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools, SQL, planning systems, and other finance technology.
• Define the scope for AI automation, areas where human judgment remains essential, and validation protocols for AI outputs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business finance, or strategic finance, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Mandatory professional qualification: active CMA certification or CFA charter.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of both SaaS and Fintech industries, encompassing recurring-revenue economics, retention, churn, unit economics, payments economics, margins, and key operating drivers of technology-enabled financial services.
• Proven current and sophisticated use of Claude in day-to-day finance work; basic AI exposure is insufficient.
• Direct experience partnering with senior executives and presenting to Executive Committee or Board audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
