Director People and Organization

About the Role

Carrefour Saudi Arabia (Majid Al Futtaim) is seeking a Director, People and Organization to lead the People & Organization (P&O) agenda. This role is based in Riyadh and operates on a regular work type. The Director will act as a strategic partner to the business, focusing on enabling growth, organizational effectiveness, and capability building across Majid Al Futtaim Development.

Role Overview

The Director, People and Organization is responsible for driving the development and execution of people strategies, organization design, workforce planning, leadership capability, and culture initiatives. These efforts will support business objectives across existing and emerging markets within Majid Al Futtaim Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the SVP P&O and Head of Departments to develop the P&O strategy by analyzing business needs, market dynamics, and P&O challenges, establishing a roadmap aligned with the overall Majid Al Futtaim Development people strategy.
• Lead the end-to-end people and organizational setup and talent deployment for new Development entities and markets, including operating model design, organization structures, leadership hiring, talent mapping, and workforce mobilization.
• Provide functional leadership and expertise to MAF Development on the company’s P&O strategies, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Build and execute the P&O setup strategy for current and future growth markets, encompassing workforce planning, organizational design, operating model activation, leadership hiring, and scaling capabilities in line with business growth.
• Manage and drive talent data and analytics to provide leaders with insights on leadership development, employee engagement, talent needs, compensation, and attrition.
• Translate business objectives into strategic initiatives and actions that align with the MAFD People Strategy and contribute to business unit growth, profitability, and high employee engagement.
• Support the Development leadership team in establishing fit-for-purpose organizational structures, operating models, governance frameworks, capabilities, and change management plans required to scale new business units and projects effectively.
• Collaborate with the MAF head office on the Leadership Institute agenda to implement targeted learning and development programs for the leadership team, strengthening the management pipeline and bench-strength as part of succession planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in People & Organization leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic P&O initiatives.
• Experience in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.

This is a regular, full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic retail environment focused on growth and development.
