About Qiddiya and the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director - Risk for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to one of Qiddiya's largest Business Units, focusing on the analysis of data from Subdistricts and Projects. The Director - Risk provides the Senior Director - Risk with current assurance and compliance analysis to support business unit leadership in decision-making.

Role Overview and Reporting

Reporting directly to the Senior Director - Risk, this position is responsible for the implementation and oversight of EBU Subdistrict and Portfolio Risk Management. The Director will ensure the quality of Risk Management activities and assist in developing and implementing consistent and effective Risk Management tools, techniques, processes, and standards, in alignment with QIC's policies and procedures. Effective communication with Executive management, peers, and subordinates is essential to ensure timely dissemination of pertinent information and data availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate QIC's "Safety First" value, including enacting 'Stop Work' authority and engaging with relevant health, safety, and well-being standards.
• Role model leadership behaviors consistent with Qiddiya Values.
• Support the development of a robust Risk culture within integrated Development and Delivery project teams across the Division.
• Participate in the implementation of Risk Management policies, processes, procedures, and controls at the Subdistrict level.
• Contribute to the EBU N-1 Risk Management cycle by performing risk identification, evaluation, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting, utilizing input from the Subdistrict / Project N-2 level.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Risk Management Qualitative and Quantitative processes at the Subdistrict level.
• Assist in embedding a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in risk reporting platforms related to risk performance across the Business Unit and ensure their effective implementation.
• Provide professional development support to risk resources across the EBU through frequent engagement and communications.
• Offer ad hoc guidance and consultative advice to the Business to facilitate risk-informed decision-making.
• Assist in conducting policy and compliance audits, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
• Coordinate effectively with other functional leads and project key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Director - Risk position must possess over 10 years of experience in large-scale programs and/or projects, specifically in a Risk capacity. The role requires proven ability to communicate effectively with executive management, peers, and subordinates to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Risk Management Focus

This role is central to maintaining and enhancing risk management frameworks within Qiddiya. It involves a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative risk processes and the ability to apply these effectively at the subdistrict level. The Director will play a key part in fostering a proactive risk culture and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures across the Business Unit.
