Electrical Design Engineer / Data Center

About the Role

Vrinda Global is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for Data Center projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on critical infrastructure within the data center industry. The role involves preparing and reviewing electrical and ELV designs for complex data center environments.

Role Context

The Electrical Design Engineer will be a key contributor to data center projects, ensuring the robust design and implementation of electrical and Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of critical power infrastructure and the ability to manage various design aspects from initial concepts to detailed specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Electrical / ELV designs, drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and technical specifications for Data Center projects.
• Handle MV/LV electrical systems, power distribution, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), generators, transformers, switchgear, and critical power systems as applicable.
• Design and review ELV systems such as Building Management Systems (BMS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control, Structured Cabling, Fire Alarm, and Security systems.
• Perform and review load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, short-circuit calculations, and other essential electrical design calculations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a relevant discipline (Btech/BE Electrical minimum).
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in Electrical / ELV Design.
• Data Center Design experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of critical power infrastructure and Data Center electrical/ELV systems.
• Experience with relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in Saad, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the dynamic and critical infrastructure sector of data centers. The position is full-time, contributing to projects that are essential for modern digital operations.
