About Awtad and the Role

Awtad is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join its expanding team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to managing electrical engineering activities across various development projects.

Role Purpose

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, review, and supervision of electrical systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The primary objective is to ensure that all electrical works consistently comply with project specifications, applicable codes, safety standards, and client requirements throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-current systems.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Supervise electrical installation works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
• Monitor project progress, prepare technical reports, and assist in project planning.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical engineering activities across all project phases, from design to commissioning.
