About the Electrical Project Manager Role

Linnk Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This role is focused on leading engineering activities for Electrical, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, primarily within the high-voltage substation sector. The position is based in Riyadh and Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview and Project Focus

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end engineering efforts to ensure projects meet Quality, Cost, and Time (QCT) targets. This involves managing multidisciplinary engineering teams dedicated to 132kV–400kV+ HV GIS/AIS substation EPC projects. The role requires a strong focus on technical leadership, compliance with industry standards, and effective stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all engineering activities from initiation to completion to achieve project QCT targets.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams for HV substation EPC projects.
  • Oversee Design Freeze processes, technical interfaces, and the Division of Responsibility (DoR).
  • Coordinate engineering efforts with Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance with SEC, TMSS, TESP, TCP, Saudi Grid Codes, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and CIGRE standards.
  • Manage the engineering budget, workload, technical risks, and secure customer approvals.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients and Saudi utility providers.
  • Lead technical negotiations, presentations, and interface management activities.
  • Drive Safety by Design principles, EHS compliance, engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality improvement initiatives, and ensure comprehensive final project documentation (As-Builts, O&M Manuals, REX).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of EPC engineering leadership experience in Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation, or the Energy sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with 132kV–400kV+ HV GIS/AIS substations.
  • Proven expertise in primary design elements, including layouts, civil guide design, earthing/lightning protection, and GIS/MV/control building arrangements.

Essential Skills and Mandatory Requirements

  • Proven experience working effectively with Saudi utility providers and diverse multidisciplinary international teams.
  • Strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) approval/registration is mandatory.
