About the Divisional Electrical Engineering Manager Role

Almarai, a leading food and beverage company, is seeking a Divisional Electrical Engineering Manager to join its team in Al-Kharj. Founded in 1977, Almarai is the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company and a prominent food and beverage manufacturer in the MENA region. This full-time position requires a qualified Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Divisional Electrical Engineering Manager will be responsible for designing power distribution networks and coordinating the selection and installation of electrical plant and equipment for new or existing sites. This involves agreeing on design layouts and installation timelines with the Projects Manager and Divisional Electrical Engineering Manager, and ensuring these deadlines are met. The role also focuses on cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency in all electrical system designs.

• Design and install power distribution networks and systems for sites or projects in a cost-effective and energy-efficient manner.
• Liaise with Construction Projects and Site Managers to ensure project deadlines and targets are met.
• Ensure all installation work adheres to the 16th Edition Standards of the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
• Manage the development and training of subordinates to ensure they possess the necessary skills for equipment and utility service installation.
• Ensure all personnel involved in electrical installation operate within the standards outlined in the Almarai Health & Safety Manual to maintain a safe work environment.
• Liaise with the Divisional CAD Engineer to maintain up-to-date as-built drawings of all electrical installations.
• Monitor project costs against budget, highlight variances, and agree on corrective actions with the Projects Manager and Divisional Engineering Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position must be qualified Electrical Engineers. A qualification in the 16th edition of Electrical Installation Standards is required. The role demands a minimum of 8 years of experience in installing electrical plant and machinery within an industrial environment. Experience in the design of power distribution networks, installation of fixed and mobile electrical systems, and medium and low voltage systems is essential.
