The Role of Electrical Technician

Giesecke+Devrient is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves conducting maintenance and installation of banknote processing systems and other G+D products. The technician will be responsible for ensuring high service quality and providing technical support to customers. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Banknote Processing Systems.
• Read drawings and perform maintenance and installation of equipment, cables, and conduits according to specifications.
• Install other G+D products as required at various customer premises within the Kingdom.
• Provide telephone and email support to customers.
• Create incident reports in the G+D CRM system for each corrective maintenance ticket received.
• Work independently or as part of a team of technicians and helpers.
• Troubleshoot installed automation systems to identify root causes of problems and ensure proper incident closure.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform a variety of functions related to servicing, programming, and testing of on-site systems, including Banknote Processing Systems, Material Handling Systems, and security systems.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and other records.
• Ensure high service quality and build strong relationships with customer operational staff based on technical excellence and reliability.
• Ensure daily working hours are posted through G+D portals/apps and linked to projects/incidents.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving for automation systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Electrical Technician will perform duties at various customer locations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as needed.
