About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton in Riyadh is seeking a full-time Electrician to join its team. This role is central to ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining the hotel's facilities and equipment. The Electrician will be responsible for responding to repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting various systems to uphold a safe and comfortable environment for both guests and associates. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines and carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, ensuring thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment and electrical components, including lamps, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches, and outlets.
• Address plumbing issues such as plunging toilets and unclogging drains.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Conduct repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external sprinklers.
• Apply basic computer skills for tasks such as inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems or hazards, complete safety training, and properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards, develop positive working relationships, and support team goals.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Candidates for the Electrician position should possess basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in the following areas:

• Air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Electrical systems
• Mechanical systems
• Plumbing
• Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
• Carpentry and finish skills
• Kitchen equipment
• Vehicles
• Energy conservation principles
• General building maintenance practices

Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred for this role:

• Education: High school diploma or ** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The role requires performing physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or heavier with assistance). The Electrician must be able to navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform actions such as reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The position operates within the hotel environment, requiring adherence to safety and security policies.
