The Role: Engineer Structures

Walter P Moore is seeking a Structures Engineer to join its team in the Riyadh office. This full-time position involves contributing to the design and analysis of various structures, ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel, or other miscellaneous structures.
• Creating analysis models and interpreting results for 2D and 3D structural frames.
• Assisting with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review.
• Understanding load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculating applicable loads based on appropriate building codes.
• Assisting with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables while working with the structures team.
• Preparing technical studies and reports.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering. The role requires proficiency in structural computations for concrete, steel, and other structures, along with the ability to create and interpret 2D and 3D structural analysis models. A strong understanding of load paths for gravity and lateral loads, coupled with the ability to apply relevant building codes, is essential.

Team Collaboration and Work Ethic

The Structures Engineer will work closely with a team of Structural Engineers and/or Project Managers. A willingness to collaborate effectively within a team environment, adhering to established company standards, is required. A client-focused approach and a proactive attitude are crucial for success in this role.
