About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Engineer (Systems) – Platform Screen Doors (PSD) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the delivery of the Platform Screen Doors system, supervising the construction team across all PSD-related activities from construction preparation through to testing and commissioning phases. The successful candidate will report to the Lead PSD and be responsible for ensuring design delivery meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise the team and contractors regarding health, safety, and environmental management requirements.
• Review and accept the Design-Build (DB) contractor’s design, working drawings, interface documentation, and method statements.
• Supervise the construction of Platform Screen Doors to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Monitor the construction phase, plan installation supervision, and ensure a quality product is installed safely and on time.

Project Coordination and Reporting

• Interface with internal and external teams, including rolling stock, signaling, construction, and the client.
• Liaise with internal project teams, particularly Civil, Track work, and Systems, to resolve interface issues.
• Report on progress, analyze potential commercial issues, and provide information directly to claims teams.
• Provide weekly and ad-hoc installation progress reports.
• Manage and supervise the DB contractors' works, including installation testing, prior to handover of the Platform Screen Door Systems to the Testing & Commissioning Team.

Technical Assurance and Safety Oversight

• Oversee Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) approvals.
• Conduct RAMS assessments and complex safety analysis as part of the design safety case for the platform screen doors.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience and demonstrate the following:

• A demonstrable track record in the design, installation, delivery, testing, and operation of Platform Screen Doors.
• Experience in managing the delivery of PSD works to quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Proficiency in working to and reporting against a contracted schedule.
• Ability to work under pressure and make on-site decisions to progress works.
• Prior experience working in the GCC region.
