The Role of Telecom Engineer (System)

SYSTRA is seeking a Telecom Engineer (System) who is a Saudi National to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves performing design reviews for railway operational telecommunications systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. The role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external technical disciplines to ensure the successful integration of telecommunications systems within the overall project design.
• Coordinate assigned activities with contractors, utility providers, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Investigate field issues affecting property owners, contractors, and maintenance operations resulting from telecommunications and utility relocation activities.
• Review and approve telecommunications network relocation plans submitted by Design-Build contractors.
• Review and approve telecommunications design deliverables, including specifications, reports, schedules, drawings, and technical schematics.
• Review and verify detailed equipment and material requisitions proposed by contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, progress meetings, and design review workshops.
• Support the resolution of technical issues related to operational telecommunications systems and interfaces.
• Monitor design progress and provide recommendations to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to perform design reviews for telecommunications systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of project requirements and industry standards in telecommunications.
• Experience in coordinating with various stakeholders, including contractors, utility providers, and government authorities.
• Capability to review and approve technical documentation such as specifications, reports, drawings, and schematics.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active participation in project coordination and technical reviews within a dynamic engineering environment.
