The Role: Telecom Engineer (System)

SYSTRA is seeking a Telecom Engineer (System) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, on-site position is open to Saudi Nationals and requires a minimum of 10 years of experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct design reviews for railway operational telecommunications systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal and external technical disciplines to ensure successful integration of telecommunications systems within the overall project design.
• Coordinate assigned activities with contractors, utility providers, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Investigate field issues affecting property owners, contractors, and maintenance operations resulting from telecommunications and utility relocation activities.
• Review and approve telecommunications network relocation plans submitted by Design-Build contractors.
• Review and approve telecommunications design deliverables, including specifications, reports, schedules, drawings, and technical schematics.
• Review and verify detailed equipment and material requisitions proposed by contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, progress meetings, and design review workshops.
• Support the resolution of technical issues related to operational telecommunications systems and interfaces.
• Monitor design progress and provide recommendations to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to perform design reviews for railway operational telecommunications systems.
• Proficiency in ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Work Environment

This is an on-site, full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
