About Nesma Infrastructure & Technology

Nesma Infrastructure & Technology is seeking an Environmental Coordinator (BSP V Substations) to join its team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, focusing on ensuring environmental compliance and promoting sustainable practices across projects and operations.

Role Overview

The Environmental Coordinator supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental management systems. This role is critical for ensuring adherence to Saudi environmental regulations, client requirements, and company standards, thereby fostering environmentally responsible practices within the organization's projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable Saudi environmental regulations, client requirements, and internal IMS standards.
  • Support the implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 and company procedures.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments for project activities and ensure effective mitigation measures are developed and implemented.
  • Prepare and submit periodic environmental compliance reports to clients and management.
  • Assist in the development, review, and continual improvement of environmental procedures, SOPs, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure environmental compliance across all project phases.
  • Participate in and support internal and external environmental audits, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed out.
  • Promote environmental awareness through training sessions, toolbox talks, and presentations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record control for all environmental-related activities.
  • Support IMS certification processes and ensure alignment with relevant standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Assist in resolving environmental issues identified during inspections, audits, or client feedback.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant environmental role.
  • Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are preferred.
  • Prior approval or accreditation (for example, SEC or NEOM) is an advantage.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position primarily located in Riyadh and Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, supporting various projects within the company's operations.
