About the Role

La Lorraine Bakery Group is seeking an Executive Chef to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to strengthening the company's culinary and technical expertise in the Saudi market, supporting its growth journey in the region.

Role Overview

The Executive Chef acts as a liaison between customers, Sales, Marketing, and NPD teams. The primary objective is to translate bakery solutions into practical applications, conduct customer demonstrations, and provide hands-on technical support. This role involves monitoring local market needs and global bakery trends to develop relevant concepts for the Saudi market, contributing to the growth of the Foodservice and Retail business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product demonstrations, tastings, and application sessions for customers across various sales channels in KSA.
• Provide culinary and technical expertise to the Sales team during customer visits, identifying business growth opportunities.
• Develop innovative bakery concepts, recipes, and applications using La Lorraine Bakery Group’s product portfolio.
• Offer technical guidance to customers on product handling, preparation, baking, presentation, and serving standards.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, NPD, and other teams on new product introductions, customer development projects, and commercial initiatives.
• Translate customer needs into practical product and application solutions.
• Monitor local and global trends in bakery, bread, viennoiserie, pastry, and foodservice, converting relevant trends into concepts for the KSA market.
• Support customer menu development and product positioning by proposing suitable applications and serving concepts.
• Deliver bakery and product trainings for customers, distributors, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a recipe and application database for customer demonstrations, trainings, and commercial activities.
• Support exhibitions, customer events, workshops, product launches, and marketing activations.
• Gather customer and market feedback, sharing insights with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams for portfolio and business development.
• Build relationships with chefs, key customers, and industry stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for La Lorraine Bakery Group.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7+ years of professional culinary experience, preferably in bakery, pastry, viennoiserie, foodservice, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on expertise in bakery and pastry applications, with the ability to demonstrate products professionally and creatively.
• Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, Bakery/Pastry Chef, Technical Chef, or similar customer-facing culinary role is preferred.
• A good understanding of the Saudi foodservice, bakery, hospitality, and/or QSR market is an advantage.
• Strong commercial mindset, capable of understanding customer needs and translating culinary expertise into business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Confidence in interacting with customers, chefs, distributors, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders.
• Creative and trend-oriented mindset with an interest in bakery innovation and new concepts.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer projects and priorities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and NPD.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently across Saudi Arabia.
