Expert Platform Engineer

About the Role

TawanTech is seeking an Expert Platform Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role is critical for designing and evolving scalable, secure, and resilient technology platforms. The successful candidate will enable engineering teams to efficiently develop, deploy, operate, and monitor enterprise applications and digital services.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of our core technology platforms. This involves ensuring these platforms meet the highest standards of scalability, security, and resilience, thereby supporting the efficient delivery of enterprise applications and digital services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable platform architecture and engineering solutions.
• Define platform engineering standards, patterns, and technical practices.
• Develop and enhance infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities.
• Design and optimize CI/CD platforms, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling.
• Drive containerization, orchestration, cloud, and platform automation practices.
• Ensure platform security, resilience, availability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead technical resolution of complex platform and infrastructure issues.
• Develop self-service platform capabilities that improve developer productivity.
• Evaluate platform technologies and recommend improvements and modernization opportunities.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
• Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, SRE, and application engineering teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in platform engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable and secure technology platforms.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, where the Expert Platform Engineer will work collaboratively with various engineering and technical teams to achieve platform objectives.
