The Role of Field Service Engineer

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing customer service, installing, and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems within hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. The Field Service Engineer acts as frontline support, resolving customer issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting, while also contributing to service revenue targets and ensuring strong customer contract retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead for assigned customers, performing troubleshooting, installation, validation, maintenance, and service repairs on designated equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical training on products.
  • Repair, maintain, and install product lines.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and field modification instructions accurately and on time.
  • Travel throughout the district territory as required to service instrumentation.
  • Document and report all repairs and product failures.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities, including maintaining customer service logs, internal service records, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.
  • Assist in the development of preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Focus on customer needs and satisfaction to build and enhance customer relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Compliance with company background checks, including a post-offer drug test.

Required Skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking for issue resolution within defined procedures.
  • Ability to rapidly repair instrumentation, provide customer training, and verify operational performance and data quality.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working directly with customers in hospital and laboratory settings.
