The Opportunity: Field Services Engineer

MGI is seeking an experienced Field Services Engineer (FSE) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the continuity of customer operations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction within an assigned area. The FSE will be responsible for providing critical installation, basic operational training, and repair services for MGI's advanced life science tools, contributing to the future of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Focus on MGI NGS sequencing instrumentation, affiliated equipment, and assays.
• Execute on-site installations, instrument validation, maintenance, and general customer training.
• Troubleshoot issues related to customer sequencing runs, data processing, software, and instruments.
• Perform preliminary on-site failure analysis to identify root causes and provide feedback to relevant company departments or personnel.
• Identify customer requests or complaints and escalate critical issues for rapid resolution.
• Proactively share experience, knowledge, and skills with peers to foster a professional organization.
• Coach and mentor new hires as required.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers within the assigned territory.
• Provide strategic and competitive customer feedback to marketing and product teams.
• Assist sales efforts through technical presentations and demonstrations when needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience servicing biomedical equipment, with a preference for molecular biological or equivalent instrumentation of high complexity.
• Prior knowledge and experience in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Bioinformatics is preferred.
• Experience with IVD or equivalent regulations is preferred.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Outstanding problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in PC and networking skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently, primarily within the appointed region. International travel, including to China, is required for training or occasional special calls.
• Good English skills, both verbal and written.
