About the Role

JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Finance Controller Associate to join its team in Riyadh for a full-time position. This role involves contributing to a collaborative finance control team responsible for the financial oversight of legal entities. The Associate will play a key part in maintaining a strong control environment across all business lines, products, and operational areas that impact Legal Entity financials and regulatory reporting.

Role Context and Development

As an Associate within the Legal Entity Control team, you will gain end-to-end exposure to legal entity controllership. This position requires interaction with multiple lines of business and various internal stakeholders. A core aspect of the role involves liaising with line of business finance teams, operations, and the broader Legal Entity Controller community to advance the Legal Entity agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly Legal Entity accounting and control activities, including month-end close processes, parent/child accounting, equity pick-up, review of inter-entity breaks, and monitoring of unnatural general ledger balances.
  • Conduct month-end analytical reviews of the legal entity to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare various financial reports, contributing to the Monthly Controller’s Book, Legal Entity and line of business financial commentary, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve financial issues, and respond to ad-hoc queries as they arise.
  • Assist in the review of the Booking Model and ongoing monitoring for compliance with Legal Entity Control Standards.
  • Control intercompany activity, including the provision of variance commentary.
  • Monitor the General Ledger (G/L), encompassing consolidation and netting activities.
  • Participate in Firmwide legal entity reporting projects, which include efforts for infrastructure and process improvement, and other Controller initiatives as needed.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in finance control or a related field.
