The Financial Analyst Role

Syarah is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining effective control over core areas of budgeting, planning, and analysis. The role demands highly structured thinking and exceptional organization of work, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide business partnering and foster a deeper understanding of financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets utilizing various budgeting techniques, including zero-based and incremental budgeting.
• Develop business unit-wise budgets and forecasts, consolidating them to create the overall company budget and forecast.
• Monitor, track, and compare financial performance against budgeted figures and industry averages.
• Conduct analyses and prepare scenarios based on management requests.
• Prepare documentation and analysis as required by internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and presentations for management reporting.
• Prepare trends, appraisals, analysis, and dashboards as requested by management.
• Provide necessary analysis and documentation to fulfill various requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of monthly reports, dashboards, and analyses.
• Develop ad-hoc financial models to support business unit management in decision-making processes.
• Prepare and communicate information packs to investors periodically.
• Monitor the manpower budget and coordinate with HR on new hiring initiatives.
• Prepare scenarios, presentations, and analyses to support long, medium, and short-term strategic plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability in structured thinking and effective organization of work.
• Proven experience in preparing comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial performance comparisons.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop financial models and prepare detailed reports and presentations.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing business insights.
