FLS Site Inspector

About the Role

Egis is seeking a FLS Site Inspector to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring the compliance and proper installation of Fire & Life Safety systems and provisions across various construction stages. The inspector will verify that all installations adhere to approved design documents, applicable codes and standards, project specifications, approved material submittals, and Civil Defence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, verification, and compliance monitoring of Fire & Life Safety systems and provisions.
• Ensure installations align with approved design documents, codes, standards, project specifications, and Civil Defence requirements.
• Cover active and passive fire protection systems, fire alarm and detection systems, and smoke control systems.
• Inspect means of egress, fire and smoke compartmentation, and associated FLS interfaces.
• Monitor compliance throughout construction, testing, commissioning, and authority inspection stages.
• Identify deviations from approved designs and assess installation compliance.
• Document site observations and witness testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate corrective actions and support successful completion of Civil Defence inspections and approvals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience as a Fire & Life Safety Site Inspector.
• Proven capability to independently inspect multidisciplinary FLS works.
• Strong understanding of construction practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in inspecting active fire protection systems.
• Expertise in passive fire protection, fire alarm, and detection systems.
• Knowledge of smoke control systems and means of egress.
• Ability to assess associated life safety systems.
• Skill in identifying deviations and assessing installation compliance.
• Competence in documenting site observations.
• Capability to witness testing and commissioning.
• Strong coordination skills for corrective actions and authority approvals.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to conduct inspections and monitor compliance throughout various project stages.
