About the Food Runner Role

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join its full-time team in Riyadh. This role is integral to the efficient operation of our food and beverage service, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

Role Summary

As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for completing essential closing duties, setting up and maintaining work areas, and ensuring the impeccable cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational readiness throughout the day.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive closing duties, including proper storage of reusable goods, breakdown of items, thorough cleaning of all equipment and areas, returning equipment to designated locations, securing refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklists.
• Set up, stock, and maintain designated work areas efficiently.
• Inspect all china, glass, and silver for cleanliness and proper presentation before use.
• Maintain the cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift by consistently applying clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and established standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information presented in various formats, including small print.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Competence to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capacity to navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Flexibility to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
