About the Food Services Supervisor Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a dedicated Food Services Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to ensuring optimal service delivery and meeting guest needs within our food service operations. The supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, operational efficiency, and team performance.

Core Operational Responsibilities

  • Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Execute opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises.
  • Monitor storage areas to ensure proper organization, adherence to FIFO principles, and cleanliness standards.
  • Complete scheduled inventories and accurately requisition necessary supplies to maintain stock levels.
  • Oversee dining rooms to ensure seating availability, quality of service, safety, and the overall well-being of guests.
  • Initiate and follow up on work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Support management in various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Act as a role model and the initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, safeguard proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Guest Experience and Process Improvement

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate effectively with others using clear and professional language.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new strategies to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Physical Requirements of the Role

  • Ability to read and visually verify information presented in various formats, including small print.
  • Capacity to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify potential defects.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Agility to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Capability to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Food Services Supervisor position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in food service operations, demonstrating a proven ability to manage teams and uphold high service standards. A strong understanding of operational protocols, guest service excellence, and team development is essential for success in this role.
