The Role: Supervisor Food Services

We are seeking a Supervisor Food Services to join our full-time team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The Supervisor Food Services is integral to graciously and thoughtfully delivering The Ritz-Carltonโ€™s โ€œGold Standardsโ€ daily, ensuring superior guest care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure team collaboration for optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including supply setup, equipment cleaning, and securing premises.
  • Inspect storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO principles, and cleanliness standards.
  • Complete scheduled inventories and manage requisition of necessary supplies.
  • Monitor dining rooms to ensure seating availability, service quality, and guest safety.
  • Initiate work orders for maintenance repairs as needed.
  • Assist management in various HR functions: hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and the primary contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and service standards.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new methods to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

  • Read and visually verify information across various formats (*, small print).
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
