FOREMAN TRANSMISSION LINE

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Foreman Transmission Line to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supervising line crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric transmission systems, both underground and overhead. The role also includes overseeing equipment, materials, and record-keeping processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems.
• Evaluate crew member performance, initiating training or corrective actions as needed to meet standards.
• Analyze operational methods and develop improved procedures.
• Establish and maintain electric line clearances with other utilities.
• Install high-voltage connectors, transformers, and switches in manholes and vaults, securing equipment and cables, along with various service lines, power poles, meters, and metering devices.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials.
• Train, instruct, and mentor Line-workers to ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.

Role Accountability and Leadership

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to develop a robust second line of management.
• Address low performance by guiding improvement or initiating release.
• Ensure fair treatment of subordinates without discrimination, basing assessments on performance and planned results.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive prevention measures.
• Make timely and appropriate decisions.

Operational Management

• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards.
• Transform corporate goals into actionable business plans.
• Plan, follow up on, and execute annual and development plans.
• Monitor plan performance, initiating actions to strengthen results and taking corrective measures.
• Provide periodic work progress reports.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational and Process Development

• Develop the organizational structure based on current requirements and future development plans.
• Ensure job descriptions are available for all roles and deployed effectively.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Be conversant with and able to navigate IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full use.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role requires a commitment to quality as a prime competitive advantage for Alfanar, and the ability to adapt to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
