The Role of Lineman

This is a full-time, on-site Lineman role based in Saudi Arabia. The position involves working on projects approved by the Saudi Electricity Company, specifically on overhead transmission lines with voltage levels of 380 KV, 230 KV, and 132 KV.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead power lines and associated electrical infrastructure for high-voltage transmission projects.
• Climb poles and various structures to perform work.
• String and tension electrical conductors.
• Assemble and install necessary hardware components.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve system faults.
• Collaborate with crews to ensure safe operational practices.
• Adhere strictly to company and regulatory safety procedures.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment for both live-line and de-energized work.
• Assist in project preparation, site setup, and documentation of completed work.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated technical skills in power line construction, maintenance, and repair, particularly on high-voltage systems (*, 132 KV, 230 KV, 380 KV).
• Proficiency in using standard linemen tools and equipment, including climbing gear, lifting devices, and testing instruments.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices for elevated and high-voltage environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, line diagrams, and work instructions relevant to transmission line projects.
• Physical fitness to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and to lift and carry equipment as required.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills for coordination with crew members, supervisors, and safety personnel.

Work Environment and Conditions

This role requires a willingness to work in field conditions and travel to various project sites within Saudi Arabia. Adaptability to extended or irregular working hours may be necessary depending on project demands.
