FOREMAN TRANSMISSION LINE

About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Foreman Transmission Line to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supervising line crews engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems. The Foreman will also oversee equipment, materials, and record-keeping for these operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead electric transmission systems.
• Evaluate the performance of crew members, initiating training or corrective actions as needed to meet performance standards.
• Analyze operational methods and develop improved procedures.
• Establish and maintain electric line clearances with other utilities.
• Install high-voltage connectors, transformers, and switches in manholes and vaults, securing equipment and cables, along with various service lines, power poles, meters, and metering devices.
• Report project status regularly to supervisors, site engineers, and other officials.
• Train, instruct, and mentor Line-workers to ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.

• Recognize low performers and guide them towards improvement or manage their release.
• Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, with performance leading to planned results as the assessment criterion.
• Ensure the availability of a delegation of authority matrix to provide sufficient delegations per company policy.
• Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, considering future and development plans.
• Ensure job descriptions are available and deployed for all job roles.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in supervising line crews for electric transmission systems. A strong understanding of installation, maintenance, and repair procedures for both underground and overhead systems is essential. The ability to ensure quality, which is considered Alfanar's prime competitive advantage, is expected.
