The Fortinet Engineer Role

Exequt is seeking a Fortinet Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves designing, implementing, and supporting Fortinet security solutions, with a primary focus on FortiGate firewalls, within enterprise environments. The role requires close collaboration with customers, Security Operations Center (SOC), network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure robust security postures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support Fortinet security solutions, primarily FortiGate firewalls.
• Deploy and manage FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, FortiMail, FortiAuthenticator, FortiClient, and FortiSandbox as required.
• Configure firewalls, VPN, routing, NAT, IPS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, and SSL inspection.
• Design and implement High Availability (HA), SD-WAN, and secure network architectures.
• Integrate Fortinet solutions with existing network, security, SIEM, and SOC environments.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, health checks, performance optimization, and configuration backups.
• Develop technical documentation, High-Level Design (HLD)/Low-Level Design (LLD), configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Support Proof of Concept (PoC), demonstrations, deployments, and technical workshops.

Required Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in network/security engineering with strong hands-on Fortinet experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with FortiGate and Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and network security.
• Experience with IPsec/SSL VPN, BGP/OSPF, SD-WAN, HA, and firewall policies.
• Knowledge of Fortinet centralized management and logging solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and enterprise security architecture.
• Fortinet NSE/FCF/FCA/FCP/FCSS certifications.
