The Role: Furniture Technical Designer

LaScala Furniture Company is seeking a Furniture Technical Designer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The primary purpose of this position is to translate client concepts into precise, buildable furniture designs through detailed technical work, 3D visualization, and comprehensive production documentation.

Core Responsibilities

• Visit project sites to conduct accurate measurements.
• Prepare comprehensive Shop Drawings and Production Drawings.
• Develop SketchUp models and create client presentation views.
• Provide technical support to production teams and resolve technical issues.
• Recommend design improvements prior to production.

Daily Operations and Coordination

• Review assigned projects and their specifications.
• Prepare and update technical drawings regularly.
• Coordinate effectively with factories to explain technical drawings and specifications.
• Support production by providing timely technical solutions.
• Manage and update drawing revisions and associated documentation.

Scope of Authority

• Approve revisions to technical drawings.
• Issue updated production drawings for manufacturing.
• Clarify technical details directly with factories.

Experience and Work Type

This position is offered on a contract basis and requires candidates to have 0-1 years of relevant experience in furniture technical design or a related field. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
