Golf Greenkeeper

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Golf Greenkeeper to maintain the golf course in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring the course meets high standards of playability and aesthetics, focusing on the maintenance of greens, fairways, and bunkers. The Golf Greenkeeper will implement sustainable practices to enhance the overall quality of the course.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of the Golf Greenkeeper is to maintain the golf course in pristine condition. This includes greens, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and other course areas. The role involves soil management, mowing, and landscaping, as well as coordinating maintenance schedules to enhance the golfing experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain bunkers, sand traps, and other specialized course areas to meet playability standards.
• Repair and maintain cart paths and other course infrastructure.
• Assist with landscaping features, including trees and shrubs.
• Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working condition through regular inspections and servicing.
• Coordinate with the Mechanic for any equipment repairs and replacements as needed.
• Follow all health and safety protocols when handling chemicals, operating machinery, and working outdoors.
• Keep the golf course environment safe for players, visitors, and colleagues by promptly removing hazards.
• Support sustainable landscaping practices to conserve water and minimize environmental impact.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in golf course maintenance or turf management, preferably in a luxury or high-end golf environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking.
