About the Role

Elm Company is seeking a Governance Consultant to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to supporting the implementation and continuous enhancement of governance and compliance practices across the organization. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in relevant fields.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Governance Consultant monitors adherence to regulatory requirements, conducts compliance assessments, and manages compliance risks. This role provides advisory support to stakeholders, contributing to the maintenance of effective governance standards and fostering a culture of compliance, while ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of governance and compliance frameworks, methodologies, and controls.
  • Monitor applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory developments, assessing their impact and communicating relevant updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct compliance assessments and reviews to evaluate adherence to internal policies and external requirements, identifying gaps and documenting observations and recommendations.
  • Support the identification, assessment, and monitoring of compliance risks, maintaining risk registers and assisting in recommending preventive and mitigating controls.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and update of compliance-related policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring documentation reflects regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide governance and compliance guidance to internal stakeholders and coordinate with relevant departments to facilitate compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare periodic compliance reports, dashboards, and management updates, and support responses to requests from regulatory authorities and assist in preparing disclosures.
  • Support the development and delivery of compliance awareness initiatives, promoting ethical conduct and a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory assessments, policy management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with governance principles, regulatory frameworks, and compliance best practices.

Operational Standards and Compliance

The Governance Consultant will adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions. This includes complying with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls, as well as information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
