About the Role: GRC Specialist

Alandalus Education is seeking a GRC Specialist to join its Strategy Department. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of practical experience in developing and implementing corporate governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. The specialist will enhance corporate oversight, support decision-making, and contribute to operational sustainability across the company and its branches in Makkah and Jeddah.

Key Responsibilities

The GRC Specialist will lead the governance, risk, and compliance framework across the company and its branches. This includes developing frameworks and policies, managing risk and compliance registries, preparing executive reports, and supporting the work of committees and the Board of Directors. Specific responsibilities are detailed below:

• Risk Management: Develop and update the corporate risk register at the company and branch levels. Conduct and update risk assessments in coordination with departments and branches, and monitor remediation plans and the effectiveness of controls. Prepare risk monitoring reports and dashboards, analyze risk data to support decision-making, and foster a culture of risk management throughout the organization.
• Compliance: Develop and update the regulatory compliance register, monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure adherence to them. Follow up on observations from regulatory and audit authorities until closure, in coordination with departments and branches. Prepare periodic reports for senior management and committees, and contribute to raising awareness of compliance and corporate oversight.
• Governance: Develop and update governance frameworks, policies, and organizational manuals, and monitor compliance with the approved Terms of Authority (DoA). Support the work of committees, executive management, and the Board of Directors, and prepare reports and executive presentations for them. Monitor the implementation of decisions and corrective actions resulting from audit work, and contribute to enhancing organizational maturity and adopting best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
• Previous experience in the education sector or in multi-branch organizations is preferred.
• Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements; familiarity with governance requirements for joint-stock companies is preferred.
• A professional certification in governance, risk management, or compliance (such as CRMA, CIA, ISO 31000, GRCP, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience interacting with audit committees, boards of directors, or regulatory authorities.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in either Jeddah or Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
