About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and professional H&S Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs. The primary goal is to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment across all departments.

Role Purpose

The H&S Officer will play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture within the organization. This includes working collaboratively to minimize workplace hazards and incidents, ensuring adherence to both local regulations and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor regulations and international standards.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs and induction sessions for new employees and existing staff on relevant safety topics.
• Maintain accurate and organized health and safety records, documentation, and reports required for regulatory compliance and audits.
• Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety protocols are understood and consistently followed across the organization.
• Monitor workplace conditions and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Prepare and present safety performance reports and metrics to senior management.
• Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations applicable to the organization.
• Coordinate with external safety auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
