Alnassr Club Company, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Head of Accounting Operations. This full-time role is critical for overseeing the club's financial accounting functions and ensuring robust financial management.

Role Overview

The Head of Accounting Operations will lead and manage all accounting activities for the Club. This involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining effective financial controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The role focuses on managing daily accounting tasks, overseeing financial transactions, improving processes, and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements to support the Club’s financial performance and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the strategy, operating model, policies, and service standards for all accounting operations.
• Oversee general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, payroll accounting interfaces, and other operational accounting processes.
• Manage the accounting close calendar to ensure timely, accurate, and controlled period-end completion.
• Ensure consistent application of IFRS, approved accounting policies, delegated authorities, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish effective balance sheet governance, reconciliation standards, and issue-escalation mechanisms.
• Oversee accounting support for financial statements, audits, tax filings, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Assess accounting implications of major contracts, player-related transactions, commercial arrangements, projects, and organizational changes.
• Identify financial and operational control risks and sponsor remediation plans.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, process standardization, shared-service improvements, automation, and ERP optimization.
• Define functional KPIs and report service quality, close performance, backlogs, and control status to the CFO.
• Build team capability through workforce planning, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, vendors, and professional advisors on accounting operations matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in accounting operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, controls, and compliance.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in leading finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires leadership within a dynamic club environment, focusing on financial accuracy and strategic support.
