The Role of Head of Private Strategic Accounts

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Head of Private Strategic Accounts to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and reports directly to the Head of Market Access. The role involves developing and executing the long-term commercial strategy for priority private healthcare accounts in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on expanding patient access and accelerating portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the long-term commercial strategy for the private market in Saudi Arabia.
• Drive revenue growth, market share expansion, portfolio optimization, and profitability across strategic private accounts.
• Lead strategic account planning with major private healthcare providers, hospital groups, insurers, and purchasing organizations.
• Establish and maintain executive-level partnerships to enhance patient access and identify growth opportunities.
• Lead commercial readiness and launch excellence for new products, including the obesity portfolio.
• Negotiate strategic partnerships and high-value commercial agreements while upholding compliance and ethical standards.
• Monitor business performance, ensure accurate forecasting, and utilize market insights for strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Medical, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Key Account Management team, fostering a high-performance culture and succession pipeline.
• Ensure all commercial activities adhere to local regulations, company policies, governance requirements, and industry codes of conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong commercial background and strategic leadership capabilities. The position requires 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, demonstrating a proven ability to build and strengthen executive partnerships within the private healthcare sector.
