The Role of Head of Product

Cargoz is seeking a Head of Product (Director/VP) to lead the product vision, roadmap, platform architecture, and outcomes end-to-end. This full-time leadership role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requires a professional with over 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a commercially successful B2B digital experience that serves both businesses booking space and warehouse providers. The role demands functional knowledge of warehousing, storage, and logistics, strong understanding of backend and platform design, and an AI-native approach to product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Owning the company-wide product roadmap, balancing quality, timeline, and adoption, and communicating trade-offs to leadership.
• Defining platform architecture, including multi-tenancy, data isolation, permissioning, observability, and public-quality APIs/SDKs for partners and enterprise clients.
• Leading AI-native product development, focusing on instant pricing and quoting, space matching, and agentic booking and operations workflows.
• Making domain-driven decisions grounded in the operational realities of warehouses, 3PLs, storage contracts, and logistics flows.
• Tracking commercial outcomes through acquisition, activation, retention, and revenue KPIs, managing beta programs, and driving adoption across the marketplace.
• Providing cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, operations, and sales, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in product leadership.
• Demonstrated functional knowledge of warehousing, storage, and logistics.
• Strong understanding of core backend and platform design principles.
• Experience operating with an AI-native approach, utilizing modern AI to enhance output, efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.
• Ability to chart roadmaps, defend quality and timelines, and be measured on adoption and revenue.

Expected Outcomes (First 12-18 Months)

• Establishment of a credible, sequenced product roadmap adopted company-wide, with clear ownership of quality, timeline, and adoption targets.
• Achieve a measurably improved guided booking experience, higher activation and conversion rates, reduced time-to-book, and increased repeat usage on both sides of the marketplace.
• Successful shipment of two to three AI-powered capabilities into the product with quantified impact on customer outcomes and cost-to-serve.
• Development of a platform architecture and API surface enabling faster onboarding and integration for new providers, partners, and enterprise clients.
• Implementation of a leaner product-and-engineering operating model where AI tooling visibly increases velocity and quality per head.
