About Mace and the Role

Mace, a global firm combining construction expertise with consultancy, is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across a significant programme.

The Project

The successful candidate will contribute to one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This development encompasses major mixed-use facilities, including sports, entertainment, and arts venues, alongside all associated infrastructure. As a key delivery partner, Mace requires experienced professionals to lead integrated teams through every phase of this extensive project.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership teams to achieve cost-effective, efficient, and high-performing business outcomes.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, standards, and guidance.
• Conduct audits and inspections, and assist in resolving non-conformities identified through internal and external audits.
• Contribute to the development of new standards and ensure ongoing compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse audit findings, corrective actions, and KPI performance to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the timely completion of incident investigations and ensure lessons learned are effectively communicated and implemented.
• Lead, manage, and develop teams of managers and professionals, ensuring appropriate structures, capabilities, and responsibilities are in place to achieve business objectives.
• Provide performance management, technical guidance, and coaching, while supporting net zero carbon objectives through proactive carbon emission reduction and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A professional qualification or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in a management role within an organisation.
