About the Role of Host/Hostess

Marriott International is seeking a Host/Hostess for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area and adhering to service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and determine the number of diners, guiding them to available and clean tables.
• Assist guests with seating, provide menus, and offer guidance through the dining room as needed.
• Arrange tables and chairs, modify layouts, and manage seating for groups with specific requirements.
• Verify that seating is appropriate and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and other standard items.
• Ensure menus are sufficient, current, clean, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain clean work areas throughout the day, adhering to continuous cleaning procedures.
• Monitor available seating, service quality, safety, and guest well-being in dining areas.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, report accidents or dangerous conditions, and obtain required safety certifications.
• Wear a clean and complete work uniform, maintaining a neat and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding brand and hotel information and protect company property.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and colleagues, answering phones professionally.
• Develop positive professional relationships with peers, collaborating to achieve common goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management that are consistent with the position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, pull, and place loads weighing up to kilograms independently.

Qualifications and Experience

• No related work experience is required, though prior experience in a restaurant environment is recommended.
• No supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific license or certification is required for this role.
