Housekeeper Public Area

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Housekeeper-Public Area to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience and involves maintaining cleanliness and order in public and employee areas within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean public and employee restrooms and showers, as well as glass surfaces in these areas.
• Clean floor surfaces in public and employee spaces using specified chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Dust surfaces in assigned areas and empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns into appropriate receptacles.
• Inspect furniture for tears, rips, or stains and report any damages.
• Clean and maintain lights, and post caution signs as needed to manage traffic flow.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs and respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete safety training and certifications, and properly store flammable materials.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and move up and down a ladder.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.

Qualifications and Experience

• No high school diploma or * equivalent is required.
• No related work experience is necessary.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is required.
