Role Overview: HPE Networking Presales Consultant
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an HPE Networking Presales Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The consultant will provide technical support and leadership in developing and delivering technology solutions tailored to customer business needs. This role involves cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and providing deep product and technology-specific expertise within the sales organization during deal pursuit situations, focusing on specific products or product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of the unstructured data market, technology, and the HPE Networking portfolio to articulate proposals and ensure customer business and technical needs are met.
- Tracks industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings, leveraging this knowledge within the customer’s technical environment.
- Contributes to industry developments through content support, presentations, demos, booth support at conferences and events, and utilizing social media.
- Designs network solutions aligned with customer business requirements, utilizing expertise and understanding of the customer's technical environment.
- Participates in deep-dive discussions, articulates value propositions, defines key differentiators, and drafts high-level solution designs.
- Delivers optimal results by balancing costs, scope, scale, and benefits to provide superior value.
- Participates in the account's business planning processes.
- Collaborates proactively with account team leadership (HPE and Partners) to develop and communicate key value propositions, negotiation points, and identify overlooked opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Contributes proactively to pipeline building by identifying opportunities such as enhancements, unmet needs, up-selling, and cross-selling within the territory.
- Documents ongoing work activities and tasks throughout the sales cycle using specific tools and resources, and shares best practices with peers and partners for effective collaboration.
- Develops and nurtures professional working relationships with customer technical teams and key executives, based on an understanding of the customer’s ecosystem, business needs, and how HPE can deliver value and business outcomes.
- Proactively shares knowledge with peers and supports the development of more junior team members.
Required Experience and Expertise
Candidates for this role should possess 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field. The position requires advanced subject matter knowledge in networking and unstructured data, enabling the consultant to solve complex business issues. Expertise in the HPE Networking portfolio and a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings are essential for success in this role.
Impact and Autonomy
This role significantly impacts the technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services on a regular and sustainable basis. The consultant is regarded as a subject matter expert, providing expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams, and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. The position requires exercising significant independent judgment to determine the best methods for achieving objectives and may involve providing team leadership and mentoring to others.
Work Environment and Location
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves proactive collaboration with internal HPE account teams and external partners, fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment focused on delivering value to customers.
