About the HS&E Lead Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a qualified HS&E Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a dynamic environment. The HS&E Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and maintenance of robust Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) programs.

Key Responsibilities

The HS&E Lead will provide essential guidance and support to Project and Program Management teams, ensuring adherence to corporate, client, and regulatory SH&E requirements. This includes advising on the implementation of Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system, policies, and procedures.

  • Conducting project and worksite audits to verify compliance with corporate standards, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.
  • Performing site inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
  • Preparing comprehensive audit reports, inspection reports, and safety performance assessments.
  • Implementing occupational injury reporting, incident management, and investigation processes.
  • Leading incident investigations and conducting root cause analyses using recognized methodologies.
  • Collaborating with project stakeholders to develop and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Analyzing safety trends, audit findings, and incident data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Representing Parsons during regulatory inspections, client reviews, and external safety audits.
  • Promoting active participation in safety initiatives and fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Supporting risk assessments and providing SH&E expertise during work planning and execution.
  • Assisting with new employee orientations and onboarding programs.
  • Delivering health, safety, and environmental training and awareness sessions.
  • Maintaining accurate SH&E records, training logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Participating in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and workforce engagement activities.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior Safety Specialists and site personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) roles is required. The role demands advanced knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting procedures, along with a strong understanding of industry safety standards and best practices, including ANSI and NFPA.

  • Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Experience supporting risk assessments and implementing corrective and preventive action programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, coach, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and high-risk project environments.

Desired Skills and Certifications

Preferred candidates will hold professional certifications such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or equivalent. Experience on major infrastructure, transportation, rail, or construction projects is advantageous. Knowledge of risk management systems and occupational safety management frameworks is also desirable, as is experience mentoring safety professionals within large-scale project environments.
