About the Opportunity

Parsons Corporation is seeking a HSE Specialist (Saudi National) to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is dedicated to promoting and maintaining a safe and secure working environment across projects, ensuring full alignment with SAPL and Client policies and procedures.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Project HSSE Director, through the HSSE Manager, the HSE Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the correction of any safety deficiencies that could pose hazards to project personnel. This position involves direct liaison with Project and Construction Managers to ensure robust safety standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate, analyze, and submit Contractor data for review in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate required daily, weekly, and monthly reports and statistics on behalf of the client.
  • Lead by example through demonstrating safe personal behavior and representing the organization on the project site for all HSE related matters.
  • Ensure that Contractor key deliverables are prepared, reviewed, approved, and implemented as necessary.
  • Follow up with Contractors' HSE Managers for pending closeout actions of SOR, Abnormal Events, Audits, and Compliance inspections.
  • Conduct monthly office assessments, including office inspections and Office Risk Assessments.
  • Conduct HSE Assurance activities, which include:
    • Organizing and attending HSE Contractor meetings and presentations, and preparing minutes of the meeting.
    • Arranging and delivering HSE orientation for new employees and visitors.
    • Conducting or supporting HSE awareness training for Parsons, Contractor, and Client as required.
    • Supporting incident investigations as required.
    • Reviewing information on first aid cases, near misses, injuries, damages, and losses, and reviewing overall HSE performance during project execution.
    • Liaising with client representatives as required on all HSE matters in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Maintain flexibility in working schedules to ensure adequate HSE cover during shift and weekend working.

Candidate Profile

The suitable candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. This role requires an individual who is willing and capable of undertaking assigned tasks independently or with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HSE, with at least 2 years in a similar specialist role.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Saudi Arabia is essential.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification.
  • Professional Membership with organizations such as IOSH or IIRSM.
