The Role of HVAC Technician

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking an HVAC Technician to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the property. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot chillers, CH. W. Pumps, and air handling units.
• Service all air terminals, grills, exhaust fans, extractors, and ventilators.
• Manage chilled water circuit treatment, including all air vents, valves, and expansion tanks.
• Oversee plumbing and electrical systems for HVAC equipment and chiller rooms.
• Perform maintenance on fan coils in rooms and offices, cold rooms, refrigerators, and ice maker machines.
• Attend daily briefings and execute maintenance orders, documenting all completed work.
• Record daily log sheets for cold/freezer rooms and report any defects or abnormal readings.
• Implement new modifications or installations as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Request and follow up on urgent materials or spare parts.
• Execute additional tasks as requested by the Supervisor or Shift Engineer.
• Inspect room mini-bars and daily arrival room fan coil units according to the maintenance program.
• Participate in the execution of the Preventive Maintenance Plan (PMP).
• Ensure all tools and maintenance equipment are ready and account for any missing items.
• Serve as a member of the fire intervention team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Demonstrated expertise in maintaining and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring flexibility for evening and weekend work based on operational needs. The role offers a competitive salary and commission structure based on performance.
