About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading internal audit activities and driving significant improvements across the organization's Ports and Branches. The role requires a professional who can operate autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives.

Role Overview and Impact

As an Internal Auditor Supervisor, you will oversee the implementation of operational plans and contribute to substantial enhancements in established policies, procedures, standards, and reports. A key focus of this role is the development of internal audit guidelines, methodologies, and the annual audit plan specifically for Ports and Branches. You will also be responsible for assessing required audit resources and supervising all related interventions to ensure robust audit practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop internal audit guidelines and methodologies for Ports and Branches, ensuring alignment with Quality Assurance guidelines and international standards and practices.
  • Assess required audit resources against current capabilities and identify the need to cooperate and liaise with external auditors for specific audit executions.
  • Formulate the Ports and Branches internal annual audit plan, specifying functions subject to audits, audit frequency, and schedule, while considering resource availability and targeting key risks and prioritized activities/areas.
  • Develop Ports and Branches audit programs/Risk and Control Matrices (RCMs), including audit scope, key areas to be assessed, audit dates, and focal points, and accordingly notify related functions.
  • Collect necessary documents from functions and develop or update audit checklists and forms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preferred range of 5-10 years.
