About Floward and the Inventory Officer Role
Floward is seeking an Inventory Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maintaining efficient warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock management and timely reporting across the supply chain.
Role Purpose and Operational Support
The Inventory Officer supports critical day-to-day activities, focusing on preventing stock discrepancies and ensuring the continuous availability of fast-moving products. This position contributes directly to the smooth functioning of Floward’s supply chain by upholding high standards of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, product codes, and system entries.
- Support the reconciliation of work orders to ensure accuracy of materials and products.
- Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstock situations or stock-outs.
- Escalate any discrepancies identified between physical stock and system records.
- Assist in receiving incoming items, verifying quantities and quality against purchase requests.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse staff for timely and accurate processing of goods.
- Check date-sensitive products for expiration and assist in their removal or transfer as required.
- Report any damages or losses to the supervisor for appropriate corrective action.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly stock balance and stagnancy reports.
- Assist in generating comprehensive inventory reports for management review.
- Track basic operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as stock accuracy, returns, and defective items.
- Adhere to standard inventory and warehouse procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health guidelines within the warehouse environment.
- Assist in filing claims for defective or returned products when necessary.
- Provide support to cross-functional teams, including Category, Sales, and Procurement, regarding product availability and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory or warehouse operations, preferably within the retail or e-commerce sectors.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with ERP systems (*, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar) is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting functions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
